How to Make Profitable Digital Products with 3 Simple Tools

You’ve decided it’s time to make digital products to help your clients and boost your sales, but you are stuck on how to make these tools for profitable digital products. In this video, I will show you three super easy and free platforms that you can use to create them.

Hi, I’m Heather Kaye, and I help female creative entrepreneurs leverage their artistic strengths to create a business and life they love.

Platforms Overview

The three platforms I will show you with exact examples of how I use them to create digital products are: Canva, Google Drive, and Keynote. But before we get into it, if you’re still struggling with ideas, download my profitable digital product idea generator journal to get your juices flowing, and you can check out the digital product idea video I created in the corner of this video.

Starting with Canva

Okay, let’s hop into my computer, and we’ll start with Canva. So here we are at Canva.com.

I am using a paid account, but you can do everything I’m going to show you with a free account. If you do choose to have a paid account, I have a link in the description below, and if you use my link, I may or may not receive an affiliate commission at no cost to you; however, that affiliate commission helps keep this YouTube channel going.

Creating a Design

Let’s get into it. You want to go over here to click “Create a Design,” and this will pop up. You want to go ahead and click on Proposal if you’re making a checklist or a guidebook of some sort. This proposal template is really wonderful.

Choosing a Template

So this is what will open up, and what you want to do is just kind of peruse through these templates and find one that piques your fancy. Just keep in mind, you can change everything out of these templates no problem.

Free vs. Paid Account

Now, I mentioned I have a paid account. The difference between the free and paid accounts is everything here that is without a crown and says Pro that is free, everything that has a crown that says Pro is not for you—it comes with a paid account. So, you get quite a bit more options with a paid account, but you can easily get this done effortlessly with a free account as well.

Customizing the Template

So you just click on whatever looks good to you, and then you bring it into the main window by clicking on it. These elements can all be changed to different colors. You can use your branding colors, and what’s really cool is that if you just want to change them all, you can click Change All, and it will change the colors for you.

Let’s pick some random colors for fun, maybe even gradients, which are pretty cool, like light color gradients, and then click Change All to make it easy. You can type in whatever text you want, and if you want to add a new page, you can either duplicate the existing one or move to the next page in the proposal by clicking on it, and it will bring it into the main window. Super easy to do!

Now, let me show you one that I’ve already created. This is my very popular Raise Your Vibration Guidebook, which I’ve made and it’s completely free as a digital download for everyone in my high-vibe tribe. You can see on the left side, it condenses, but if you click on it, it expands and becomes larger.

I used a proposal template, added my own text, and included my own images. If you want to add an image, you just come over here, click Uploads, or you can go to Photos and search for something like “meditation.” Wonderful pictures will appear. Remember, anything without a crown is completely free to use!

Sharing Your Digital Product in Canva

Once you’re finished, click on Share and then you can download the file to your computer. You can choose PDF Standard for regular use or PDF Print if you think your audience will print it. Check PDF Print if you expect people to print it out. After selecting your preferred option, download it to your computer, and you’re good to go!

Using Google Docs for Digital Products

Let’s now move on to the second way to create a digital product, which is using Google Docs. Here we are in my very busy Google Drive. I’ll click on New, then select Google Doc.

In Google Docs, you can easily type whatever you want and insert images. You can also add tables to create checklists. While it may not be as visually appealing as Canva, it gets the job done. These tools for profitable digital products are great for creating simple, yet effective resources for your audience.

Sharing Your Google Docs Product

When you’re ready to share your Google Docs product, you can copy the link and make sure the document is set to View Only when sharing it, so others can’t edit it. Then, send the link to your audience, and they’ll be able to access your document.

If you use Google Slides for presentations, you can do the same thing. For example, I often use presentations for my workshops. You can create a presentation, share the link, or download it as a PDF by simply clicking Download and choosing PDF Document. This method works both for Google Docs and Slides. Once downloaded, you can repurpose the content for your workshops and sell it on platforms like Payhip or any other digital product selling platform.

For my violin books, I design all the covers in PicMonkey, and I will take you there to show you a bit of that process. Okay, so here I am in my PicMonkey account at picmonkey.com. In order to create my book covers, I keep a template. Everything I do, I keep a template, and I would suggest doing that because it saves you tons of time. So, I’m going to pop into here, this is my template for my book covers. I’m going to just say edit image at this point, but if you do want to edit a copy, you have that option as well so you don’t lose the original. I’m just going to go ahead and edit the image.

These tools for profitable digital products are perfect for creating consistent and professional designs that will help you generate sales.

Adding Images and Text

It doesn’t matter if it’s just a white background or whatever we have here. What I’m going to show you is exactly the same process. So if you want to add an image, you come up here to Add Image. If you want to add text, you come over here and click Text. You can add text using many different fonts. Again, I am using the paid version, but you can get by with the free version absolutely fine. I spent years making digital downloads before I upgraded to the paid version.

I will put a link in the description below if you do want to have the paid version of PicMonkey. Just like Canva, I may or may not receive an affiliate commission; however, if I do, it’s at no cost to you and helps keep this YouTube channel going. These tools for profitable digital products can really make a difference when creating professional-looking designs for your digital resources.


Editing the Text and Graphics

So I’m going to just come here and highlight this text. I want it to be a little bit bigger, “Rhythmic Skills.” This here is from the elements available to you. You can click here on Graphics, and then you’ll see all these wonderful options. This is just a basic graphic that I grabbed here. So I’m going to go ahead and bring this back up a little bit here.


Customizing Colors

You can change the color of this graphic by clicking on it. You’ll have a range of colors, and you can write in your own hex code. It also keeps track of your recently used colors, which is really nice, and you can upload your brand color palettes.


Paid Version Features

So, you see here, I have the paid version, but it’s not the most expensive luxury version. So I also don’t have options like the Plant Brand Color Palette option.


Making Text Smaller

When you want to make your text smaller, just bring it down from the corner, or alternatively, you can change the font size by adjusting the settings on the side. This allows for more precise control over your text size and alignment, ensuring that it fits perfectly within your design.

Downloading Your Image

Once you are happy with your design, it’s time to download it. Click Download here, and choose the file format you prefer. In this case, the image will be saved as a PNG file, which is perfect for high-quality images. You can also select JPEG if you need a smaller file size. If you want to create a PDF document, that option is available too, but please note it requires a paid version of PicMonkey. For now, I’ll stick with PNG and directly download it to my computer.

Inserting the Image in Keynote

Now, let’s head back to Keynote. To replace the existing image with your newly created one, simply click File > Insert and select the new image from your computer. You’ll see an option to click Choose, and the image will be added to your presentation. If you need to add more slides, it’s easy—just duplicate an existing one or create a new blank slide, and then bring in your tags, images, and other elements.

Adding Text in Keynote

To add text in Keynote, go to the Insert menu and select Text Box. A new text box will appear, and you can enter your desired text. It’s a really simple and quick process that allows for easy customization. You can also adjust the font, size, and style of the text to fit your design needs.

Exporting Your File to PDF

After making your final adjustments, you’ll want to export your project as a PDF. Go to the File menu and select Export to PDF. This is a crucial step for creating professional-quality digital products. Ensure that you select the Best quality option for export, then click Save. This ensures your file is high-resolution and ready for use.

If you’re not using this specific design right now, simply delete it so you don’t clutter your workspace.

That’s it! Using Keynote for your digital products is simple and efficient. You can save your work as a PDF and quickly upload it to the platform where you sell your digital products, such as Etsy or your own website.

Why e-Webinar is the Ideal Platform for Your Online Workshops

You know it’s time to create a webinar, but you don’t know where to start. In this video, discover an easy-to-use webinar platform for online businesses that I personally use.

Hi, I’m Heather Kaye, a high-vibe biz and life coach, giving you tools to build a life of your design. For years, I put off creating a webinar simply because I didn’t know the steps to create one. I had no idea how to script the webinar and manage the tech behind it.

My Experience With Webinar Creation

I even spent $600 on a course to learn how to create that webinar, how to script it, and which platform to use. I would definitely not recommend that. Instead, I suggest registering for e-Webinar. I’ll leave a link below and in this video, so you can try it out for free – that’s exactly what I did.

Not only did I love how easy it was to use, but compared to other webinar platforms, e-Webinar is definitely more affordable. A webinar is an excellent tool for people to register for your workshop, learn more about your teaching style, and, typically, at the end of the webinar, you can present an offer for your course or academy that you are wanting to funnel people into.

e-Webinar Features

Furthermore, with e-Webinar, there’s a training video that walks you through exactly how to create the webinar, script it, and utilize the platform to market your webinar effectively.

Now, let’s take a closer look at how I use e-Webinar for my violin studio.

How I Use e-Webinar for My Violin Studio

This is my website, the Heather Kaye Violin website. In the lower-left corner, you can see the “Why You Are Not Realizing Your True Violinist Potential” webinar that I created. This pop-up appears here for people to register for the webinar.

As you can see, you simply click where to register, and you’re taken to a landing page where you can learn more about the webinar. In the upper left, I’ve added my logo, so it’s branded with my style. From here, someone can decide whether or not they want to register.

If they click “Register Now,” a window pops up asking them to “Select a Session to Join” with different time options. They just need to insert their name and email. All of this is done easily via the e-Webinar platform.

Exploring the e-Webinar Platform

Let’s now head over to the e-Webinar platform so you can see what this looks like. This is the platform I chose for my webinar. You can sign up for free in the upper right-hand corner.

Note that if you sign up through my link, I’ll receive a $100 cash reward that helps support me in creating and sharing these videos with you on my YouTube channel.

Behind the Scenes of e-Webinar

Here on the right side, you have the Share Widgets, Analytics, Registrants, and Edits sections. The Share Tool provides you with the link to share across social media. If you’d like to add it to your website like I did, go to Widgets and click on Registration or Marketing Page. You can choose from Embed Form, Fixed Bar Button, Pop-up, or Card.

I used a pop-up. You simply click on your preferred option, and you can design it here – choose where it appears, what colors you want, etc. At the bottom, you’ll find a code that you can copy and paste into your website.

Managing Registrants and Interaction

Next, you have your Analytics, Registrants, and Edit sections. Let’s pop into Edit. You can easily adjust the time zone to ensure your webinar runs at the right time. This is important if you want to interact with your viewers during the webinar.

Additionally, I’ll show you the Interaction feature. You can create questions and a poll to engage your viewers better. If they ask a question, it’s great to be available to answer it immediately. If not, it goes to your email, and you can respond later.

More Features of e-Webinar

Furthermore, in this section, you can manage chats, registrations, and settings. Editing the registration page is simple, and the platform gives you full control over how the webinar runs.

e-Webinar is incredibly user-friendly, affordable, and has a training section to help you script your webinar and master the platform. There’s no need for expensive courses when e-Webinar offers everything you need.

You also need images to showcase your product and collect testimonials from users to feature on your sales page. This is the groundwork before you start marketing your product.


Using video to promote digital products


Let’s talk about how to market your product so sales come in 24/7, even while you’re sleeping. I recommend using YouTube as your Hub. I started using it in 2010, and though that wasn’t the original purpose, over time, YouTube has helped me generate leads and sales. Each video you create works for you around the clock, meaning the more views you get, the more sales you’ll make.

When making videos to sell your digital products, keep YouTube as your Hub. After creating a YouTube video, consider making an Instagram reel to save time by batching video creation, keeping your schedule light.


Video ideas


A great video idea to sell your digital product is to create one that presents the problem your product solves. Describe the problem and explain how your digital download provides a solution to that issue.


Share the links


In your YouTube video, add a card linking to your sales page. Place the link in the video description and on your end screen as well. Once published, edit the subtitles, copy them, and use them as a blog post on your website with the corresponding YouTube video.

Once your digital download is ready, market it through various channels. First, create a YouTube video demonstrating how your product solves a specific problem. Include a link to the sales page in the video description, card, and end screen. Additionally, use keywords related to the problem your product addresses.

If your product is printable, make a video of you using it and highlighting the benefits. For non-printable products, create a screen share video showing how it works online.

Next, add the YouTube video and a blog post to your website, linking to the digital download. You can also promote these via newsletters, social media, and even live demonstrations on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Remember to create multiple posts across social platforms, including Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram, to increase visibility. Don’t hesitate to share your links everywhere to help people discover your digital products.

My online journey in short


Professional International violinist that found my way teaching online from a request made by my students in the States for online lessons while I was touring abroad. Within that journey, I have created this thriving YouTube channel, written over 30 educational digital exercise books for violin, and created multiple online courses and academies for adult violinists, newbie to Pro. How to Monetize Your Talent Online was the key to transforming my musical passion into a thriving online business, and if I can do it, you can too.


Technophobe to techie


I was a complete technophobe before I started online. Truth!

I barely had a Facebook account and an email address. I absolutely dreaded working with computers. Now no one today would believe that’s the case because now I love working online listening to some soft jazz and knowing that I’m making an impact in this world today.


Passion to profits


It doesn’t matter if you’re a musician or an artist or you love to cook. Your passion, whatever it is, can be turned into a product that you can sell online. Now it’s not just, okay I’m gonna sell something online to make money. You’re using your passion and your drive to help others to share something that you are so passionate about that you know it will help others in their Journey as well whether it’s an educational product or something that will be hung on the wall that’s going to give them joy every time they look at it.


Use social to your advantage


We live in a day and age that social media can be a blessing or it could be a curse and as talented individuals monetizing ourselves online social media is absolutely amazing. I have connected with so many violinists all over the world because of my YouTube channel or because of Facebook. If I hadn’t been working online I would never meet these amazing people and teach them violin or help them with their online Biz or both!


Simple ways to get you started making money online


  1. Sell your products or services on an online Marketplace like Etsy or just use Payhip. Payhip has a free plan where you get a link and you can sell on social anywhere. Wherever you’re having a conversation, whether it’s in direct messaging, you can just pop that link in and say hey this would really help you out and boom you have your first sale. So that’s a very very easy way to get started.
  2. I would highly suggest creating a website that showcases your talent. Think of it as kind of like your online Gallery, whether it’s performance videos, videos of you working with your passion and creating your passion so people can see the joy that you have when you are doing what you love.
  3. Sell your digital products, your ebooks, even online courses on your website.
  4. It’s very simple to join affiliate programs where you can link the products that you use. For example for me I have a page where I have my products I use, as far as like rosin, violin case, strings, these different things or a journal even that you can link to and then somebody will purchase that you can get a small commission.
  5. Offer consulting services online. This can be easily done by Zoom.us. I’ve been using Zoom since 2011, teaching online.

Get organized with a checklist

I have an amazing wonderful, very simple one sheet called, “Get Monetized Online Checklist” that you can print up. This checklist is a great resource for you to follow and check off when you implement helping you make some fun cash from your passions online.

What is so beautiful about making money online is you are supporting yourself as an artist, as a musician which gives you more time to do what you love, which is probably working on your craft.

Quick YouTube Editing in iMovie: A Comprehensive Guide for Efficient Video Creation

If you’re a YouTube content creator, you know that editing videos can be both time-consuming and challenging. But with the right tools and knowledge, quick YouTube editing in iMovie can save you hours and help you produce high-quality videos. iMovie is a powerful yet user-friendly video editing software that allows creators to streamline their workflow without sacrificing the quality of their content. Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro, these tips will help you edit your videos faster and more efficiently, while keeping them engaging for your audience.

1. Start by Opening iMovie and Creating a New Project

When you first open iMovie, you’re presented with the option to create a new project. This is the first step in quick YouTube editing in iMovie. Start by selecting “Create New Project” from the main screen. Choose a project name that reflects your video content, so you can easily find it later. Once the media files are in iMovie, they appear in the media library, ready for editing. You can use the timeline below to arrange and edit your footage by dragging clips onto it. Keep in mind that having all your files in one place helps speed up your workflow and eliminates distractions.

3. Select the Clip You Want to Edit First

The first clip you edit sets the tone for the rest of your video. Click on the video clip you want to work with, and you’ll see a yellow border around it. This indicates that the clip is selected and ready for editing. Once your clip is selected, you can start trimming, cutting, and adjusting the audio levels. The editing options are located at the top of the screen, and they become active when a clip is selected.

Editing in iMovie is intuitive, so even if you’re new to the software, you’ll find that most of the tools are easy to use. For instance, you can use the “Split Clip” tool to cut sections of the clip that you don’t need.

4. Trim Excess Footage and Improve Flow

One of the most important steps in quick YouTube editing in iMovie is trimming unnecessary footage. Start by reviewing the entire clip and identifying sections that are irrelevant or too long. For instance, if you have a long intro or an awkward pause, trim it out to maintain a steady flow. If any audio levels peak into the yellow zone, lower them until they stay in the safe range.

You can also separate the audio from the video, allowing you to edit them independently. This is useful if you want to add a background music track while keeping your voiceover clear. Consider using royalty-free music or sound effects to enhance the mood of your video.

6. Incorporate Transitions for Smooth Scene Changes

If your video contains multiple clips, adding transitions can make the flow between them smoother. iMovie offers a variety of transitions like fades, wipes, and slides. To add a transition, click on the “Transitions” tab in the media library and drag your preferred transition between clips on the timeline. You can adjust the length of the transition by dragging its edges.

Transitions help maintain a smooth visual experience for your viewers, and they also add a professional touch to your video. Be mindful of using transitions sparingly, though—too many can make your video feel cluttered.

7. Add Titles to Highlight Key Information

Titles are an essential part of YouTube videos, especially when you need to highlight important points or provide additional context. iMovie offers many title templates, ranging from simple text to animated titles. To add a title, click on the “Titles” tab and drag your chosen title style onto the timeline. You can customize the text, font, and animation to match your video’s tone.

Make sure your titles are clear and easy to read, and use them to guide viewers through your content. You can add titles to introduce topics, give context to a scene, or include a call to action at the end of your video.

8. Use Music and Sound Effects to Create Atmosphere

Music and sound effects can elevate the mood of your video. iMovie provides a library of royalty-free music tracks and sound effects that you can use to enhance your video. If you want to set a specific mood, choose a music track that complements the content of your video. To add music, click on the “Audio” tab and drag your chosen track to the timeline. You can adjust the volume of the music to make sure it doesn’t overpower your voice or any other important sounds in the video.

9. Add B-Roll to Maintain Visual Interest

B-Roll is supplementary footage that enhances the main content of your video. It’s often used to illustrate points or break up talking-head segments. For example, if you’re discussing a product, you can show B-Roll footage of the product in use. Adding B-Roll not only makes your video more visually interesting, but it also helps maintain the viewer’s attention.

To add B-Roll, drag the footage onto the timeline above the main footage. You can resize and position it to ensure it complements the content seamlessly.

10. Review Your Video for Consistency and Quality

Once you’ve finished editing, take a moment to review the entire video from beginning to end. Pay attention to the pacing of your video—does it move too quickly or too slowly? Are there any parts that could be improved? Make sure all the edits flow smoothly and that the audio and visual elements are balanced.

An end card is an effective way to direct viewers to other videos or encourage them to subscribe to your channel. iMovie allows you to add an end card at the end of your video. How to Create Youtube Videos to Magnetically Attract Clients

Desire more paying clients on your calendar? Well, in this post, discover how to create YouTube videos to magnetically attract clients.

I’m so excited about creating this post for you because this is something that has truly helped me have more bookings on my calendar as an online entrepreneur.

YouTube as a Content Creation Hub

I originally used YouTube as a hub for my performance videos as a violinist. However, over time, it naturally evolved into a place for teaching content for my students. This wasn’t my initial goal, but it evolved in that direction.

Online Business on a Hamster Wheel

After listening to many “gurus” in an attempt to build an online business as a professional violinist with no tech skills, I realized that I had spent years doing things that didn’t bring the desired results. Consequently, I often felt like I was stuck on a hamster wheel.

Getting Off the Hamster Wheel

As a Capricorn and a violinist, I love focusing on results. If I invest time in something, I need to see a return. In the same way, I apply the same attention to detail that I use with the violin and my personal life. This mindset allowed me to successfully monetize myself online.

Return on Time Invested

I remember attending a live workshop on how to use YouTube for an online business. During the session, the coach advised me to follow certain steps to make money from YouTube. However, I replied, “I don’t need thousands of subscribers or millions of views. My goal is to use YouTube to make money. I don’t just want to create videos for the sake of it.” After hearing this, the coach completely revamped her strategy to align with my goal of seeing a return on my time invested.


Why Video?

First and foremost, video is a great way for people to get to know you, feel your energy, and decide if they want to work with you. Not every teacher is right for every student, just as not every client is right for every coach. Therefore, video allows you to show your personality and style.

You Attract What You Are

If people can’t connect with you through video, or if they find you annoying, they won’t want to work with you. However, if they love your energy, can’t stop watching your videos, and resonate with what you’re saying, they’ll want to work with you. That’s when everything clicks.


Video Is Key, But Not for Subscribers or Views

Now, let me explain that video isn’t about accumulating subscribers or views. Instead, the real goal is to create content that will attract your ideal clients. If you get a hundred views and one person buys a product or signs up for your list, that’s a huge win.

Video Filming Tips

When filming your video, make sure you have a simple background and good lighting. It doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, I personally use my phone, so don’t let the technology intimidate you. Just get started and let your content do the work for you.

In order to create YouTube videos that magnetically attract clients, you need a catchy title. After all, people aren’t going to click on your video if the title isn’t working for them.

How to Formulate a Catchy Title?

To make your title relatable and searchable, ensure that the title of your video aligns with the content and addresses a pain point that your future clients can relate to. Offering a solution with powerful words can make a big difference in attracting your audience.

Moreover, you can use TubeBuddy’s Keyword Explorer to analyze your title. This tool will show how it performs on your channel and in the broader YouTube search. Additionally, it will tell you if people are actually searching for the topic you’re presenting in your video.

Be Authentic

While presenting yourself, aim to be as natural as possible with authentic energy. It’s important to showcase yourself in the best light. For instance, avoid making videos when you’re feeling tired or sluggish. Think about moments when you feel at your best to ensure you’re presenting yourself effectively in your videos.


Batch Your Videos to Save Time

In order to save time, batch your videos. List several video ideas you can film in one session. If you’re like me, you prefer saving time and energy, so consider making a list of three video ideas.
Additionally, script the videos beforehand to make filming smoother. If you don’t have a designated filming space or live with others, it might be hard to find quiet moments. However, once you’ve prepared, optimized your setup, and feel ready, use that time efficiently by batching your videos.


Include Only ONE Call to Action

In your video, aim for one call to action. People are busy and overwhelmed with various tasks. Presenting multiple options can lead to decision fatigue. Therefore, keep your video focused on one action to avoid overwhelming viewers.


Superpowered Call to Action

What is your call to action? It could be asking viewers to like the video, comment to build a relationship, sign up for your newsletter with exclusive offers, or download a helpful PDF related to your content.
Remember, the goal isn’t to give away a free PDF without purpose. Many people download free PDFs but rarely see any value. Ensure that the PDF or gift you offer leads to a solution, guiding your audience through their journey with you.


Sprinkle the Link Everywhere

Once you’ve decided on your call to action, make sure to share the link everywhere. Include it in the video’s cards, the end screen, and the description. You could even add it to the comments to make sure viewers don’t miss it. After all, people are often busy, so make sure the link is visible and easy to access.


Create Eye-Catching Thumbnails

Thumbnails are crucial. After filming, take a quick selfie and use it for your thumbnail. Your face represents your brand — it’s unique, and your energy shines through. This will help viewers resonate with you instantly.
Moreover, use your image and engaging words that reflect the video content and title, encouraging viewers to click.


Optimize with Keywords

In the tag section, include the keywords viewers would search for to find your video. Place the exact title in the tags section. TubeBuddy is helpful here; it will show you how your keywords perform and suggest additional keywords to use.
Also, create a playlist with a catchy title, and include your video in that playlist.


Harness the Power of Playlists

Revamping a playlist can significantly help. For example, I created a playlist called “Beginner No More, Learn Third Position” for adult violinists. It’s short, catchy, and directly solves a pain point. Place your video in a playlist and feature it on your YouTube channel to increase visibility.


Repurpose Your Video

Finally, repurpose your content across platforms. Add subtitles, create Instagram reels, or host Facebook Live sessions directing people to the full video. By doing this, you expand the reach of your video beyond YouTube.
Once your video is live, it can work for you now or in the future. You may attract clients at any time, whether it’s days or years down the road.

Patience and Consistency

Remember, YouTube videos can continue to generate results long after they are published. Don’t get discouraged if your video doesn’t get a lot of views immediately. I have videos from 10 years ago that still bring in clients today.

Keep creating, stay consistent, and trust the process. Eventually, someone will find your content, resonate with your energy, and decide to work with you.

Why I Use Youtube as My Content Creation Hub

As I’ve been on YouTube since 2010 and teaching online since 2012, I’ve discovered that YouTube has brought in most of my clients out of all the social media platforms. In this post, discover why I use YouTube as a content creation hub.

Over the 10 years that I’ve been working online, YouTube has been my biggest lead generator for clients that I work with personally and also for clients that join my online programs and/or purchase my digital products.

Large Return on Time Invested

As I love a large return on my time invested, YouTube provides this for me. A video that I created for an online course three years ago is still generating students for that online course.
This is why I love YouTube. I make one video, and for years it works as my salesperson 24/7: while I’m sleeping, while I’m practicing, while I’m working with my clients, while I’m teaching.
Violin videos that I have made years ago are still bringing me clients to this day. This is Why I Use YouTube as My Content Creation Hub.

Video Captures YOU!

I love working with video because you get to know me as a person, my energy, my smile, my enthusiasm, and you can understand if I am the right person for you to work with by the tone of my voice, by how I use my words. You know by my energetic vibration if we are a good fit or not.

With video, people get to know my teaching style, people get to know me as the business owner that I am and how I work online, plus people get to know how I use mindset in my business and in my violin journey.

Consistency is Key!

As I am on other social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, the place that I continuously show up week after week, two times a week, in fact, is on YouTube.
Not to say that if I showed up even more on Instagram it wouldn’t be beneficial to my business, but the reason I show up consistently on YouTube is that I know this video will be seen by people for years to come.
It’s not going to disappear after 24 hours or not be in somebody’s feed after 24 hours.

Youtube is a search engine

If somebody searched on a specific topic and the title of my video, my keywords match the solution that they’re searching for, then boom they get to see the video and it’s a perfect match.

Start with a video script

Now before I get into all the reasons why I use YouTube as a hub for my business, you may be thinking well that’s not such a bad idea and I would really like to make videos too.

There are a lot of different options for a Youtube video script of which you can easily find searching on Youtube. But what I have found the best is to keep it simple.

I’ve created a video script template to help you out. It’s one that I use personally to keep myself organized and know that every video I create has a purpose. You can get my video script template for free here!

Don’t underestimate the power of the video title

When you create your video script think about the solution that people are searching for and that you’re providing in the video so that you can use your title as a hook for them to see, “Hey you know what? This video has some answers for me. I’m going to check this out.”

Don’t create videos just to create videos

I’m not creating videos just to create videos. I want those videos to work for me whether it’s attracting emails, whether it’s collecting comments, whether it’s bringing somebody to my online course, whether it’s used to create more views on my YouTube channel, whatever it is, every single video I make has a purpose behind it.

Youtube as the hub SAVES TIME!

So let’s get into this. Why do I just love YouTube as my content creation hub? One it saves time. I make one video which I edit it in iMovie.

If you want tips, check out this post, “How to edit in iMovie.” At least how I use iMovie to edit.

Once I have edited the movie then I save that file for Facebook. Then I add the end screen and I save that for YouTube and then I create a shorter version that can be used on Pinterest and Instagram.

I also take the YouTube video and I embed it into my blog post. I use the subtitles from every YouTube video I make as the foundation for that blog post. So it saves a lot of time.

As you see, one video multiple platforms.

Youtube allows me to stay balanced

I choose not to work on my business 24/7. I do play the violin. I do have clients that I work with. I do teach violin. I play piano as well and I accompany so I have a lot of things on my plate that I want to make sure that I’m balanced.

Plus I swim every day and I’m on the treadmill for an hour. So I’m sure you can understand, it’s not that we have a blank slate of 24 hours to work on our business. We need to be balanced. Creating one video and using it for multiple platforms helps me to achieve this.

Youtube videos collect your fans and followers

YouTube videos are a great way to collect your tribe. Whether that is getting them onto your email list by providing a wonderful offer for them in exchange for their email or whether that’s inviting them to your Facebook group.

Youtube videos drive sales

YouTube videos are also great to sell your products, your courses. Another great reason Why I Use Youtube as My Content Creation Hub. There are multiple places you can leave a link directing people to the solution to what they’re looking for.

Where to put links:

  • YouTube Cards which show up on the upper right hand corner
  • Description below the video
  • Video end screen
  • Comments below the video which you can pin to stay at the top
  • Blog post where the video is embedded

Digital downloads can be PDFs or audio files. Whatever it is that you make you want to save it in a safe place on your computer so that you can access it when you need to upload it to the place your customers are going to buy it.


3. Make Your Profitable Digital Download Visual: How to Sell Digital Downloads Successfully


You have your digital product now safe on your computer. You’ll want to make this digital product as visual as possible for your customer to understand what it is. Just a link is not going to give them an idea of how this digital product is going to help them.

A great way to make your digital product come to life and demonstrate how to sell digital downloads effectively is to create images in Canva or in PicMonkey, so people can see exactly what this digital product is going to look like when they buy it. You can also give an idea of how they can use it, whether it’ll be on the iPhone or on a computer.

You can easily grab images of the tablet or device that they’ll be using this digital product on, and it also gives them the idea that, yes, this is a hundred percent immediately downloadable digital product that they can access on their device.


4. Create your sales/landing page for your digital download


Step four is to create the landing page or sales page where your customers are going to learn more about this digital product and why they absolutely need it. This sales page can be on your website or you can sell your product on a separate platform like Payhip.

Once you’ve decided if it’s going to be on your website or on Payhip we need to have a checkout process and this is step five. If you’re using a platform like Payhip, this is all taken care of for you all you have to do with Payhip is go in and create a product upload.

  2. Upload your images that represent your digital download.
  3. Decide on a price and insert that information in the designated place in Payhip.
  4. Fill in the description box describing your product.

You want to have an incredible description that’s going to let your customers know exactly what they’re getting. You also need to explain how it’s going to help them. Answer the question why they absolutely need this specific digital download. How is your digital download going to make their life easier? It will be immediately available since it’s 100 percent immediately downloadable.

Payhip has the checkout page done. Once you have the product created in Payhip, somebody buys the product. A form pops up. Then, they’re able to continue with the checkout.

Now, if you are going to have this product housed on your website, create the landing page on your website. Upload that beautiful image to make the digital product more tangible. Then, you’ll have a button below that says “buy now.” This button will link to PayPal.

You’ll need to create a button in PayPal. After that, you’ll get the link to put on your website. If you don’t want to use PayPal, you can use Stripe instead. The process is the same. You’ll get the link and put it on your website. When they click the link, they’ll be guided through the checkout process.


6. Collect the funds from the sale of your digital download


If you’ve chosen Payhip for how to sell digital downloads, connect it to your PayPal or Stripe account. When Payhip receives payment, it will transfer the funds to your account. The transfer will happen after deducting a fee, depending on your chosen plan. The free plan doesn’t require a monthly payment. However, Payhip takes a percentage from each sale. As your sales grow, you may want to explore Payhip’s paid plans. This will help you avoid the fee per sale. Alternatively, if you’re using PayPal or Stripe directly on your website, payments will be transferred to your business checking account.


7. Deliver the digital download


Then, step seven: the product needs to be delivered to your client. If you choose to use Payhip, it’s seamless. Payhip will send an email to your client, and they’ll receive the digital download. Everything is set.

If you choose not to use Payhip and just use your website, you’ll need a redirect. The redirect will send the person to the specific link where they can access the digital download.

As you can see, these two options are different. Payhip creates a super seamless path.

If you want to skip the Payhip store but still use Payhip’s process, you can. Once you create your product in Payhip, you can get a link. You can copy and paste that link to sell the product on your website via Payhip.


8. Market your digital download


As great as digital products are, you need to market them. They’re not going to sell themselves.

You do have to plan how you’re going to funnel eyeballs to that specific landing page. Whether it’s on your website or Payhip, it doesn’t matter where it’s living. You do have to get people to see it.

Plan on sharing the link to this page on your social media accounts. Create a video of yourself using the product or of somebody else using it. Show how it’s benefiting them so it becomes more lively to your customers.

Share it on your Instagram feed with a quick reel. If you have a Facebook group, you can easily share it there as well.

This is the eight-step process of creating a digital download. You can start making money right away and build up extra cash to support your online biz.

In this blog post, discover how to grow your online business as a multi-passionate entrepreneur step by step. I will discuss the exact steps on how to take you from where you are in your current online biz identity to where you want to be.


It is safe to expand and grow as an online multi-passionate entrepreneur


First, as an online multi-passionate entrepreneur, allow yourself to know and believe that it is safe to expand and grow. Don’t keep yourself holed up in a biz that’s actually holding your growth back. It’s time to put yourself in the spotlight and shine.


Gain clarity in the now


Get clear on the present moment in your biz.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What exactly are the products that I am offering?
  • How am I currently marketing these products?
  • Are potential clients being successfully funneled into these products and services?
  • Do I have a clear marketing strategy that works for my current offers?
  • Do I know my biz numbers?
  • Do I know where my strengths are in my current biz?

If any of the above is a little bit ambiguous and foggy, it’s time to break down your products and services into a really simple google sheets or excel file. In this spreadsheet, you can record each product and service that you’re offering and how you’re getting people to that product and service.


Declutter & organize your current biz


In order to bring in the new, we need to create the space.

Ask yourself how can you declutter your current business?

This decluttering process is super important to effortlessly create the space for the expansion and growth that you want to see in your business.

First step is to get your folders organized on your computer. Delete everything you no longer use or need in your current/old business. This way you can allow you and your biz to grow into your new identity.

Create a new folder with your biz name, mine is HK biz. Within that folder, create two more folders, one with your current/old biz and the other folder for your new biz.

How this looks like for me is I have my violin folder for my violin studio, violin clients, products and academies. In the second folder named high vibe biz and life, I have my client folders, current products and future offerings files.

Ask yourself this energetic question, what would it take for me to streamline my online biz to easily position myself for growth and expansion? Everything in the way of that completely delete, uncreate and destory.


Close out and/or bundle


As an online multi-passionate entrepreneur, you may have many offerings. It really brings a lot of clarity to start to think about how you can streamline your offerings. A great place to start is to understand what products are working and what are not. Close out any offerings that are draining your time and energy or find a way to turn them into passive income.

Think about how you can bundle offerings together so you’re not stretched thin by promoting multiple products. Take your online courses and bundle them into an academy or one bundle that way you just promote one item with a lot of bonuses or a lot of courses. This saves time only promoting one product as opposed to five different products.


Automation is freedom for online multi-passionate entrepreneurs


Automation is your path to freedom. Want more time? Automate!

Ask yourself, what can I automate?  What can you create as far as an evergreen funnel to allow people into your products and services?

An evergreen funnel is an easy path for your clients to get what they need from you and your offerings. These days people have so much to think about, so much to do, that if they get lost on the path to your products, they’re probably going to get distracted and not find their way back in.

Automation allows you the time to start to grow and expand to create the space for your new biz.


Nourish a success mindset


Many times entrepreneurs, especially creative entrepreneurs, hold themselves back because of a negative mindset. You may feel afraid.

“Well, what would happen if I let my people know that I actually am doing this” or “what if my fans won’t follow me anymore if they know that I’m offering this?”

Let’s clear this negative thinking and get you on the path to success.

As soon as the fear mindset starts ask yourself “what would it take for me to get clear on my current offerings?” “What would it take for me to know my numbers on a weekly, monthly basis?” “What would it take for me to position myself for growth and expansion?” Everything in the way of this completely delete, uncreate and destory.


Get clear on the new


Let’s get you clear on the new.

Get started by asking yourself:

  • What problems will I solve with my products?
  • What solutions will my services provide?
  • What questions will be answered with my online courses?

Why are you the expert?


How has your current business shaped you as an expert for this new aspect you want to offer? Perhaps the services that you have been giving for 20 years have actually given you the experience to help people on another level.

Then what I want you to think about is what is the common thread? Perhaps what you have been currently offering and where you want to go has a commonality.

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, you most likely have different aspects that you want to bring to the table with your products services and offerings.

For example, as a violinist I have been teaching and performing for over 20 years the last 10 years has been online teaching adult violinists and 10 years of running a successful online business.

I have so much information to help creative entrepreneurs create an online biz that supports them and helps them thrive.

As you can see, someone may think okay, violinist, online biz, energetic spiritual healing, how does this all fit together?

Well, it fits together really beautifully for me to position myself to help creative entrepreneurs.

So that’s what I want you to think about in your life what are your passions and what is the common thread with all of your passions?

The common thread with my passions is vibration. Maintaining and increasing personal vibrational frequency.

Music is high vibe.

Vibration and playing music, being a high vibe violinist.

Using vibration to align to your higher self and helping others to align to their higher self.

Helping others create a high vibe online biz that creates a high-vibe life.

Ask yourself:

Even though we think about this as a new direction, it’s really expanding and growing where you currently are into where you want to be.


Start with what excites you as an online multi-passionate entrepreneur


Now that you’ve thought about your overarching umbrella, or your common thread within your multi-passions, brainstorm the topics that you are super excited to talk about.

Are any of those topics able to be blended topics with aspects of the old and new biz working together?

What would a blended topic look like for you.

A blended topic for myself as a violinist and online biz entrepreneur is the fact of how violinists can make money online blending the two topics violin and online biz.

Another example is as far as a chakra expert is the fact that I can help violinists with chakras. How do the chakras relate to violinists? How do chakras relate to online biz creative entrepreneurs?

Blended topics takes you where you are currently, where you want to be and come up with topics that actually touch on both of those areas. That way you’ll find that the fans that you have currently that have an interest into this new direction.


Be the conversation


Allow yourself to open up and show all the facets of your authentic self, allow the conversation to occur about your expansion growth and new topics.

This conversation will lead you to you what products and services that your tribe would love. You probably have an idea of what you want to offer but what is something that you can put together pretty quickly without spending a lot of time that your current fan base and growing fan base would be interested in. This sweet spot combination will be the products to create first.

That way when you create a relaunch party or expansion party into your new identity, you have these offerings that you can present to them.
